Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts (LCPA) serves three primary roles: presenter of artistic programming, national leader in arts and education and community relations, and manager of the Lincoln Center campus.

A presenter of more than 3,000 free and ticketed events, performances, tours and educational activities annually, LCPA offers 15 series, festivals and programs, including American Songbook,  Free Thursdays at the David Rubenstein Atrium, Great Performers, Lincoln Center at the Movies: Great American Dance, Lincoln Center Festival, Lincoln Center Out of Doors, Midsummer Night Swing, Mostly Mozart Festival, White Light Festival, and the Emmy Award-winning Live From Lincoln Center, which airs nationally on PBS.

As manager of the Lincoln Center campus, LCPA provides support and services for the Lincoln Center complex and the 11 resident organizations. The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, The Film Society of Lincoln Center, Jazz at Lincoln Center, The Juilliard School, Lincoln Center Theater, The Metropolitan Opera, New York City Ballet, New York Philharmonic, The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, and the School of American Ballet, as well as Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Managing process for development of $135M operating budget involving all LCPA operations, including establishing planning parameters and developing process timelines and requirements.  The budget incorporates numerous earned and contributed revenue sources, as well as expenses related to artistic and educational programming, maintenance of the 16-acre campus, and administrative activities.

•    Collaboration with CFO and Human Resources on headcount and compensation reporting and analysis for approximately 550-person staff.

•    Training and coaching departmental employees involved with the budget process.

•    Ensuring expense allocation methodologies are logical and consistently applied.

•    Analyzing year-over-year variances and testing budget outcomes with appropriate analytics.

•    On-going analysis and communication of monthly financials, including addressing issues of strategic importance.

•    Presenting budgets and analyses to staff, management and board of directors.

•    Provide custom reports, modeling and analyses for specific activities and projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

•    7+ years of experience of increasing responsibility managing budgeting and planning in a complex organization (either in the non-profit or for-profit sectors)

•    Knowledge of related GAAP accounting principles

•    Proven analytical skills, including maintaining key metrics databases and developing relevant financial and operating analyses

•    Superb written and communication skills

•    Ability to work effectively both strategically and tactically with keen attention to detail

•    Demonstrated proactive, highly organized and collaborative workstyle

•    Aptitude for visually expressing financial results for maximum impact

•    Proficiency with Excel, Sharepoint and PowerPoint, as well as with Epicor and adaptive or similar general ledger and budgeting systems

•    Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; MBA desirable
