The Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts Internship Program provides a unique learning opportunity for individuals interested in careers in performing arts administration and related fields. While internships are offered throughout the year, the majority of internships are available during the summer.  Interns are placed in one of the many dynamic departments of the world’s leading performing arts center in the midst of its busy season of summer festivals.

The Program offers invaluable hands-on training and experience through participation in projects and assignments that allow for the practical application of academic knowledge and the development of business skills necessary for a career in the arts. Interns work side by side with arts professionals in such areas as production, public relations, financial management, marketing, arts education, visual arts, and fundraising as they experience the day-to-day workings of a large, world-class performing arts center.

Designed to provide not only practical training but also encouragement, inspiration, and role models for a new generation, the summer program offers significant opportunities for networking with senior-level administrators through educational workshops and informational meetings. Interaction with fellow interns and professionals on staff allow for the creation of valuable contacts for the future.

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts is committed to providing a quality learning and training experience for its interns.

Interns will be paid $13.00 per hour in 2018.

Most summer internships are full-time. School credit is applicable if the student is interested.

Interns must be current students.  Recent graduates (December 2017 or May 2018) will be considered on a case by case basis; however, candidates of all ages are encouraged to apply.

Unless otherwise noted, please submit all internship application materials to: [email protected] and list the title of the internship(s) of interest in the subject line.
