DESCRIPTION

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts is building a world-class program to package, pitch, and activate sponsorships to potential corporate partners. Reporting to the Associate Director, Corporate Partnerships, this intern will support and aid the corporate partnership program at Lincoln Center.

A Corporate Partnerships intern is provided with hands-on experience to succeed in the field of sponsorship such as prospect research, proposal writing, database management, client acknowledgment, solicitation mailings, special event assistance, benefit fulfillment and relationship management. This internship also provides the opportunity to support donor activities onsite at performance series including White Light Festival, Great Performers, and American Songbook as well as additional support in all aspects of corporate sponsorship.

This intern will provide support for the Corporate Partnerships team with prospect research, reporting and subsequent management-related duties that will provide a unique opportunity to work directly with Lincoln Center corporate sponsors.

  • Interested in marketing and have some knowledge of marketing strategies
  • Interested research, fundraising and arts management
  • Experience working with the public; 
  • Able to bring a unique perspective to this internship and able to work well with others
  • Very comfortable with  verbal, face-to-face, written communication skills, research skills and interacting with the public in a pleasant, professional manner
  • Highly skilled with MS Office, including MS Word and MS Excel
  • Are attentive to detail
  • Are enthusiastic, energetic, and flexible, with a great sense of humor
  • Demonstrable experience working with people with and a passion for inclusion and advocacy in the arts

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting Marketing Partnerships staff with attending/staffing client events,
  • Organizing communications, and hosting activations for Lincoln Center marketing partners
  • Assist team in researching and preparing sponsor materials, fulfilling new and existing marketing partnerships
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to communicate obstacles, challenges and ask clarifying questions
  • Ability to organize data, information, and files in a thoughtful manner
  • Ability to work independently while managing various tasks
  • Excellent research and analysis skills, as well as an attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment to identify and solve problems

Approximate dates: mid - September to December 2017. You must be able to commit to that time period.

Interns must be current students. Recent graduates will be considered on a case by case basis; however, candidates of all ages are encouraged to apply.

Interns are paid $11.00 per hour.
