OVERVIEW

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts is building a world-class program to package, pitch, and activate sponsorships to potential corporate partners. Reporting to the Associate Director, Corporate Partnerships, this intern will support and aid the corporate partnership program at Lincoln Center.

A Corporate Partnerships intern is provided with hands-on experience to succeed in the field of sponsorship such as prospect research, proposal writing, database management, client acknowledgment, solicitation mailings, special event assistance, benefit fulfillment and relationship management. This internship also provides the opportunity to support donor activities onsite at performance series including Midsummer Night Swing, Lincoln Center Out of Doors, and Mostly Mozart Festival as well as additional support in all aspects of corporate sponsorship.

This intern will provide support for the Corporate Partnerships team with prospect research, reporting and subsequent management-related duties that will provide a unique opportunity to work directly with Lincoln Center corporate sponsors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supporting Marketing Partnerships staff with attending/staffing client events,
• Organizing communications, and hosting activations for Lincoln Center marketing partners
• Assist team in researching and preparing sponsor materials, fulfilling new and existing marketing partnerships
• Excellent communication skills including the ability to communicate obstacles, challenges and ask clarifying questions
• Ability to organize data, information, and files in a thoughtful manner
• Ability to work independently while managing various tasks
• Excellent research and analysis skills, as well as an attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment to identify and solve problems

QUALIFICATIONS

This might be the right internship for you if you are:

• Interested in sponsorship and have some knowledge of marketing strategies
• Interested in research, fundraising, and arts management
• Interested in planning and managing client activations and special events
• A strong writer, ideally with some experience in writing acknowledgment and solicitation letters
• Able to bring a unique perspective to this internship and able to work well with others
• Comfortable interacting with a broad audience in a pleasant and professional manner, including internal staff and members of the public,
• Able to represent Lincoln Center at public events
• Highly skilled with MS Office, including MS Word and MS Excel
• Flexible and with a collaborative attitude
• Able to multi-task and prioritize competing assignments all with a keen attention to detail
• Enthusiastic, energetic, and flexible, with a good sense of humor
• Passionate about inclusion and advocacy in the arts

Interns must be current students with evening availability. Recent graduates (December 2017 or May 2018) will be considered on a case by case basis; however, candidates of all ages are encouraged to apply.

Approximate dates of this internship are June 2018 – August 2018. All internships are paid at $13 per hour. Interns are expected to work 35-40 hours a week for a 12-week period.
