Digital Design Intern

Each day, you will work on a range of tasks related to the conception, delivery, and management of Lincoln Center’s digital properties, primarily focused on design assets and delivery.


Daily tasks will include:

• Compiling and tagging design and content assets for web properties, including a re-imagined digital presence for Lincoln Center Education website
• Assisting the design team with sourcing and logging assets
• Managing and updating website content as needed
• Participating in daily “stand-ups” with the Digital team, and supporting Marketing for both institutional initiatives and ticketed performances
• You will also provide administrative and project management support to a newly-formed digital working group to ensure this cross-functional team is informed and productive.
• This position will also provide design Quality Assurance (QA) testing for new digital properties, including Lincoln Center Education, Lincoln Center Kids, Live from Lincoln Center, as well as an Amazon Alexa application.

In this internship, you will learn:

• How to participate in the design workflow required support digital properties
• How to perform QA testing, and write an informative, action-oriented ticket
• How to manage multiple communications streams, including Slack
• The successful candidate will also learn how functions like digital capability support and enhance access to artistic programming in an arts organization.


This internship might be right for you if you are:

• Enrolled undergraduate, graduate student, or recent graduate (December 2017 or later) and have some experience in digital design and development.
• Able to multi-task and prioritize competing assignments all with a keen attention to detail
• Highly engaged and accountable and have an appreciation for the performing arts.
• Comfortable with standard MS Office software required; Slack fluency a plus.
• Comfortable with Adobe Creative Cloud required; with Sketch a plus.
• Able to bring a unique perspective to this internship and able to work well with others
• Comfortable interacting with a broad audience in a pleasant and professional manner, including internal staff and members of the public
• Flexible and have a collaborative attitude
• Enthusiastic, energetic, and with a good sense of humor
• Passionate about inclusion and advocacy in the arts

Interns must be current students with evening availability. Recent graduates (December 2017 or May 2018) will be considered on a case by case basis; however, candidates of all ages are encouraged to apply.

Approximate dates of this internship are June 2018 – August 2018. All internships are paid at $13 per hour. Interns are expected to work 35-40 hours a week for a 12-week period.
