Public Relations Intern
The Public Relations Department is responsible for defining, developing, and overseeing overall messaging and media strategy for LCPA’s performances, events and programs, and institutional initiatives. The department operates within the overall Marketing/Branding Department and collaborates closely with the marketing, content, and digital teams.
Internships with Lincoln Center Public Relations are designed to provide graduate students or college students who are pursuing, or considering pursuing, careers in arts administration, arts education, or public relations (especially in entertainment or the performing arts) valuable, hands-on experience in all aspects of performing arts publicity in the active public relations office of one of the world’s leading performing arts organizations.
Under the guidance of senior staff members, you will be actively involved in the steps and tasks needed for creating, executing, and evaluating a successful publicity campaign. Tasks and projects will include: researching and gathering artist background materials; editing/writing press releases; assisting with coordinating electronic distribution of press releases; tracking/compiling press clips; preparing statistics on press coverage.

This internship might be right for you if you are:
• Passionate about public relations, strategies and brand building
• Experienced with social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Snapchat
• Knowledgeable in Excel, writing, and editing skills
• Able to work well with others
• Highly attentive to detail
• Enthusiastic, energetic, and flexible, with a great sense of humor
Interns are paid $11/an hour for a 40-hour work week. This is a seasonal position from June 2017 through to August of 2017.
