Lincoln Center to Screen Select 2014 US Open Tennis Matches at the David Rubenstein Atrium

LINCOLN CENTER TO SCREEN SELECT 2014 US OPEN TENNIS MATCHES

AT DAVID RUBENSTEIN ATRIUM,

FREE TO PUBLIC, SEPTEMBER 3 – 8, 2014

 

Flushing Meadows will come to Lincoln Center when selected 2014 US Open tennis matches are screened at Lincoln Center’s David Rubenstein Atrium (Broadway between 62nd & 63rd Streets) beginning Wednesday evening, September 3 through Monday evening, September 8.  They will be shown live on the Atrium’s 42-foot wide screen. Attendance is free to the public, and seating is on a first-come, first served basis.   The matches that will be shown are the men’s and women’s quarterfinals, men’s semi-finals, and women’s and men’s finals. Top-seeded Serena Williams leads the women players, and she will be looking to end her recent grand slam drought. Serbia’s Novak Djokovic leads the mens group, followed closely by Roger Federer as the #2 seed. The complete schedule:

 

  • Wednesday night, September 3 (men’s and women’s quarterfinals) at 7:00 pm
  • Thursday night, September 4 (men’s and women’s quarterfinals) at 7:00 pm
  • Saturday, September 6 day session (men’s semi-finals) 11:00 am
  • Sunday, September 7 day (women’s finals) 12:00 pm
  • Monday, September 8 evening (men’s finals) 5:00 pm

 

The David Rubenstein Atrium is Lincoln Center’s visitors center, home to its free community programming including Target® Free Thursdays, starting point for Lincoln Center tours, home to the Zucker Box Office selling discounted tickets to productions at Lincoln Center as well as many New York and New Jersey cultural institutions.  The Atrium also houses Tom Colicchio’s ’wichcraft café, open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
