Haydn: String Quartet in C major, Op. 76, No. 3 (“Emperor”)

Debussy: String Quartet in G minor, Op. 10

Dvorák: Piano Quintet in A major, Op. 81

Appointed last season as the inaugural Associate Artists of London’s Wigmore Hall, the Takács Quartet was the only string quartet to be inducted into Gramophone’s newly-established Hall of Fame, alongside such legendary artists as Leonard Bernstein and Jascha Heifetz. The performance marks the quartet’s second Lincoln Center appearance this season, and will spotlight the young Korean pianist Joyce Yang who, still in her 20s, is blessed with “poetic and sensitive pianism” (Washington Post) and a “wondrous sense of color” (San Francisco Classical Voice).

Alice Tully Hall (Broadway at 65th St.)

Tickets, starting at $45, are available online at LCGreatPerformers.org, by calling CenterCharge at 212.721.6500, or at the Avery Fisher and Alice Tully Hall box offices, Broadway and 65th Street.
