American Songbook in the Penthouse

Shaina Taub

Singer/songwriter/actor Shaina Taub’s evocative songwriting won her the Jonathan Larson Grant and a Lucille Lortel Award nomination for her performance in Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812. She recently returned to New York from an acclaimed West Coast run of Old Hats—singing and playing her own songs and co-starring with Bill Irwin and David Shiner—in a performance that inspired the San Francisco Examiner to describe her as a “sort of young Judy Garland meets grown-up Lisa Simpson.”
