Lincoln Center Receives New York Emmy® Award

For “Mozart Minutes” Video Series,

Profiling Members of the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts was recognized this past weekend with an Emmy® Award, honoring the outstanding and extraordinary achievement of its “Mozart Minutes” series, a collection of one-minute long videos profiling members of the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra. The videos offer an inside look at these artists, exploring a wide range of topics and subjects, such as pre-concert rituals, how certain physical activities like running or yoga complement the work they do as musicians, how they got their start with an instrument, what they enjoy about the music of Mozart, and more. The Emmy® Award was given in the “Arts: Program/Special” category, and presented at the 58th annual New York Emmy® Awards by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, New York Chapter.

The “Mozart Minutes” series first appeared online in the summer of 2013, developed as part of a larger campaign to place a spotlight on the incredible musicians and personalities of the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra, and further connect them with the audiences of the Mostly Mozart Festival. These videos also appeared, starting in August 2014, on WNYE-TV (NYC Media). More than 20 members of the Festival Orchestra have been featured, and more will launch this summer.

The winning production team included: Harry Hunkele, Producer/Director; Peter Duffin, Jane Moss, Executive Producers; Lisa Takemoto, Mary Costa, Supervising Producers; Andrew Shuttleworth, Lisa Grow, Ryan Wenzel, Eric Gewirtz, Ellen Granger, Producers; Haghi Suka, Photographer; Mabel Chung, Digital Producer; Jenna Emens, Sound Mixing; Michael McKenna, Production Manager; Mayumi Sato, Graphics.

The “Mozart Minute” videos, along with Festival Orchestra member profiles and fun facts, can be viewed online here: MostlyMozart.org/MeetTheOrchestra.
